Title Aggregate Resources for the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, Minnesota - 1999
Abstract This project contains the coverages developed and used during the mapping of sand and gravel and bedrock aggregate resources in the 7-county Twin Cities metropolitan area by the Minnesota Geological Survey in 1998-99. Work on this project was supported by the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities.
Purpose This project provides citizens, local government land use planners, the construction industry, and environmental groups with specific information on the location and quality of aggregate resources. This information supports long-term comprehensive planning that takes into account needed sand and gravel resources.
